It really does keep hair from going down the drain and if you are lucky enough to have family that will clean it out after each use it's really not difficult to clean up either. It came with a few attachments for different drain sizes, the one that was attached originally is the one that fit my drain and it very easily goes in the drain and very easily comes out. It was also nice to have the drain stopper because I love to take baths as well. It has also made my tub easier to clean because water no longer stands in the tub when everyone takes a shower because there is not hair cloggin the drain! I wish I would have gotten one of these sooner!

Both my housemate and I have long, curly hair. Before getting a tubshroom the tub would clog roughly once a month, taking 15 to 30 minutes to get clear and necessitating grabbing all kinds of goop with our fingers or a snake. Since the the tubshroom catches everything, we have to remove it to clean more frequently at roughly once a week. However cleaning the tubshroom is much quicker and more hygienic, requiring a roughly 30 second process of pulling the shroom out, removing the rubber ring, and wiping over a trash can. While it does take more than the single wiping action the packaging claims, it is still vastly less effort than the monthly snaking ritual. Unlike the other options on the market this is almost entirely stainless steel and so you won't ever have to replace it either. I strongly recommend this to anyone with long hair or a shaggy pet.

This product works great at collecting hair and keeping it from clogging the drain! After just 1 shower, it has collected enough hair and lint that it slows the drain enough that it seems like there is a clog. Easy peasey, pull the mushroom out and take the hair off and you are good to go.
Unfortunately, this is a learning curve for a family that does not normally maintain the drain. My husband and kids will pull it out, full of hair and leave it on the edge of the tub. 🤦

Pet hair was problematic for our 1966 tub drain apparatus.... hair in the stopper, hair in the tailpiece and hair accumulating in the drum trap. This device catches it all! I was able to pull out the removable stopper (saved it for human bathing) and install as-is without adding any adapters. Easy to pull out, clean and reinstall.
The only drawback... our stopper is at the drain, not the overflow. We have to reinstall the old stopper any time we want to hold water. Not a huge issue, as the shower is 99% of our tub's function.

This is my second one. The first one wasn't stainless steel and had a rubber inside collar. It is still going strong but has yellowed with age, and is more than 6 years old. I was excited to learn that they now come in all stainless steel. These will really cut down on the amount of hair going down the drain - and eventual plumber's fees.

Great product to prevent clogging with your tub drain. This product works the magic of keeping hair from clogging up your drain. Soon as your down taking a shower all you have to do is pull it out and pull the hair off that it collects. Then all you do is throw the hair in the trash and put this product back on your drain sprout. You don't have to worry about grabbing tweezers anymore to pull the hair out of your drain.
It also comes with a water stopper in case you want to fill up your tub with water.

Gasket fits and hasn't let hair through. Easy to place into drain and to remove. I put 4/5 for ease of cleaning because some soap debris can get stuck at the bottom and i use a toothbrush to clean it out for me it hasn't completely and easily wiped off without brushing it out. Initially I was spraying it with whatever I used to clean the tub, but I stopped doing that so it doesn't prematurely age the rubber gasket. I've only used the water stopper once for a minute to test if it worked, and yes it did stop the water from draining.

It even catches my super fine, thin, hair that I shed in the shower every day from my arms and legs. This is important because while I am bald, my arms and legs are hairy but with a ton of super thin hairs that other drains do not catch.

My daughter had one of these in her tub. Such a great idea. I got this one and have had it for almost a year. No rusting chipping or anything! It is easy to clean the hair out of it( I use a paper towel). I just switch it for the original plug when I want to give my grandson a bath( I don't screw it in I just drop it in and pull it out when I'm done , easy) I highly recommend!! A feature assigned to this product is suction power but there isn't really any suction but it fits the entire circumference of the drain and catches all the hair so I gave it 5 stars.

I have 2 really hairy dogs that tend to clog the drain when it's bath time. This little hair catcher is a game changer in my house. No more slow water drain, no more digging out grotesque hairballs. It pops right in the drain hole and pops right back out for cleaning.

This product is worth every penny and more! My tub drains very slow and this device helps elevate the stopper while creating a snug fit for hair to catch in. The water then flows more easily and I'm no longer standing in an inch or two of water during a shower. It's easy to clean I just grab a tissue and clear away the hair in no time. I have long hair that clogs the drain. I wasn't sure about this when my husband purchased but it works great. Thing is, it works so well I have to clean it out at least once per week, sometimes more. Very easy to clean though and glad that all that hair isn't going into our pipes and sept6i system.

I wanted to try it out the instant I got it, so I popped it in and off fell stands of hair, after my shower I popped the thing right out of the drain then lo and behold, there was my lovely hair sitting in the catch! I used to have one of the basic silicone ones with a metal cap, but this one is definitely and improvement. The silicone is dark so it won't get stained and gross looking, and most of the body of the contraption is metal which means it's more durable and easier to clean. I also like that it has multiple silicone sizes to fit different tubs when I change apartments.
It still gets full of hair somewhat quickly so I need to clean it out every 1-2 showers but it beats digging my fingers into the drain itself.

I've been a tubshroom fan for as long as I've known about them. I was using the original ones, and buying new ones when they got nasty but this stainless steel one is the best! Doesn't get nasty and is easy to clean. I can't get it to work as a drain stopper but I have another one for that anyways. Love it! A must have if you shed as much hair as I do every shower!

Works very well been using it for about year now in the kids bathroom. Since I took out the old pop stopper drain plug and put this in, I haven't had to unclog the drain once. If the water isn't draining fast enough they know to pull it out remove their hair and put it back in. Works like a charm!
Also the Chrome still looks just like the day I bought it! It's very well made and worth the money.

I swore that I wasnt the creator of the clogs in the house. I thought my super straight hair was only barely coming out as it was so it couldnt have been me... Well we did a test, I used the guest bathroom and the fiance used the master... 3 months later... the drain was clogged. And having to snake the drain was disgusting. Found this product. Put in in place really easily and two weeks later... checked and it was bunched up again. So it works but now i'm self concious that I am a golden retriever that is shedding all the time.

Ever since I plugged this device into my bathtub drain, I have never had a clog. Just clean it out once a week with a disinfecting wipe, and you will have no problems.

This is a very effective product. It's easy to remove the shroom, wipe off the hair, and replace. The stopper is almost too easy to remove, my toddlers accidentally knock into it at bath time and it pops off, but goes back in easily and quickly. I appreciate that both items fit multiple drain sizes.

This is one of those products that might sound gimmicky, but genuinely improves my life! I have long hair and am surprised/impressed by how much of it this collects. It is also very easy to pull it out of the drain and remove the hair in one motion. Picking up hair will always be gross, but this at least puts it out of site and makes it quick to remove! I go a few days before emptying it and it still drains fine.
And I love mushrooms so this also gets bonus points for the design/name :)

Package is hard to open at first. The stopper works in my shower but not the sink. The catcher I'm glad came with adapters because my drain is to small for the one that comes attached. I swapped it for the smaller one and it fits. I'll update this again after at least one shower. So far it looks good though.

this thing is great! so much better than the silicone ones that get gunky and permanently stained in black soap scum. I tried desperately to clean and preserve the silicone one but it was just a lost cause. The stainless steel is much easier to clean after each shower and doesn't get that funky build up like the other designs do.

Writing this from my husband's account since thats where we bought it from.
Now... I know I shed more than a very floofy doggo that hasn't been brushed in a long time. My hair is everywhere all the time, yet my hair is still crazy thick. Its also super coarse on top of it. Yay me 😒 but I digress. I was still surprised to see just how much hair comes out when I shower. This little thing works. This is how much hair was in there after only two showers from me and one from my husband. I'm fully convinced that it got every single hair too with how much there was. It was also super easy to clean. I used a baby wipe and got it clean with two swipes. I haven't used the plug yet, so I can't speak on that, but I don't see why it wouldn't be at least decent.
I very much recommend this. It was well worth the money to save our drains.

This little guy works great. I had the flat cover type hair catcher and my cats kept yanking it out. This little guy is sturdy and makes it impossible for my cats to remove. This also does not have any sharp prongs or edges. This has replaceable seals to adjust to bigger drains. I am using the one that comes attached to the shroom. The way I know this little guy is working is because when i start showering the water flows great and when it has caught some hairs my water starts pooling. I just simply grab it after my shower or during and remove the hair and gunk. I've been using it for a couple months now with no regrets. I would highly recommend this shroom.

Great product, but it’s not as easy to clean as I had expected based on other reviews and product advertisements. 100% will continue using - it only takes 60 seconds to remove hair from it. Smaller lint/fuzz is more difficult to remove quickly.

May not seem like a big deal, but this product saved my sanity. My teenage daughter has long hair and has continuously clogged the bathtub drain and caused the water to drain slowly. She wouldn't say anything to me to indicate a drain blockage, my younger son ended up telling me the water drained slowly. I would routinely go in and pour drain cleaner to correct the problem, but over time that will mess up PVC plumbing.
I search Amazon and reviewed several products and settled on this one based on customer reviews. It was so simple to install and has worked great. I now have my daughter clear the drain protector once a week and since we have been using it the drain has not clogged and the water drains fast from the tub. I would recommend this product!

My husband said he wishes he could give this 6 stars. I have waist length hair and it can clog the drain occasionally, even with a silicone slotted drain cover. The Drain Easy grabbed a huge wad of hair after the first shower. We are both impressed and happy his plumbing tools can take a rest.

I previously purchased a silicone tub a broom and it worked but tended to grow mildew. This stainless steel one is so nice and works!! I have long, thick hair and it catches everything. When I wash my dogs in the tub, this seriously catches majority (if not all) the dog hair. When it gets full, I swap the strainer for the drain stopper (included), clean out the hair, then swap back to the strainer and continue on washing the pups. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Drain Easy works very well and so far has caught all my hair. If you have a lot of hair like me, expect to remove the hair for the shroom a couple times a week. That can be annoying but I prefer it to having to yank out even more from the drain.

One shower always gets clogged (mostly with hair) and I've done the "liquid that won't harm your pipes" thing so often, I almost bought stock in the company. Then I read a review about this item and Alexa was kind enough to tell me it was on sale. It installs easily and when the plumber was here for something else entirely, he asked if that shower needed declogging. I showed him the gizmo and he smiled. "Putting me out of business?" he said. Highly recommended.

This product works great, it catches everything. Even the little male body hairs that come off when men shower. You'll know when it's full and needs to be cleaned. The water will back up into the tub. It's pretty nasty when full. I put on gloves use a little bleach and tissue. Wipe it clean rinse it with water then back in the tub it goes good as new.

I was hopeful but not sure if this would work. It's awesome!! It fits our tub and catches the hair without slowing the movement of water down the drain. Just make sure you clean it regularly or the hair will build up and then it will slow the draining of water from your tub. I try to clean mine after every use. It's crazy how much hair goes down the drain if you don't have one of these and it's easy to see why drains get clogged. It doesn't look bad either which is nice. Some of the hair catching items are tacky. I think they should make this in different finishes, but overall I think this is a great item!

Wish I'd just paid for the shroom itself. The plug doesn't form a good seal on my drain and is easily knocked out of place. I can't seem to shove it down far enough to get a good seal, and I've really tried.
I love the TubShroom though. It catches all of the hair and it's very easy to clean.

I wish I got this stupid thing sooner-- I've been using one of those cheap plastic cup things to catch hair. It did okay, but it would slow down water draining, and I still had a lot of hair clumps in the drain.
This catches so much hair and water does not get backed up. For perspective, we are two people who shed a lot! It looks much nicer than the plastic hair catcher I was using , and it's soooo much easier to clean.

So I had been using Drain Easy for a couple years and it was getting a little funky and the mock metal cap had come off completely. So when I went to buy a replacement I found these with the new metal design. Been using this and the metal sink shroom for probably a year or 2 now and they're fantastic! I think it's easier to get the hair and muck off of the metal, it captures a ton of hair (I have long hair and am perpetually shedding), and it looks nice too. The package came with different rubber plugs for the bottom depending on your tub/sink drain size so picking out one that worked was easy. I have to clean it out after every shower, but it has saved me from having to try to snake the drains to retrieve all the hair. That by itself is worth the price, and considering how long these end up lasting they're worth it. Can't say enough good things about this and the sink shroom, they're both great.

I’ve tried every hair stopping product out there is, and this one is the best. I’m 7 months postpartum and the hairloss is shocking. This product is super high quality, fits really well inside the drain and looks very clean. It comes with a variety of rubber gaskets to fit nice and tight in all kinds of drain sizes. I have an old cast iron tub from the 50s and the drain is extremely small. It’s easy to pop out clean and pop back in. L I highly recommend this product.

So the single reason I purchased this product is I have a small bar that sticks up in my bathtub. I figure it has something to do with the original stopper but it's long gone, this is the only thing I have ever seen that would cover it so into the cart it went.
WOW! SO MUCH HAIR!! I have very short hair I had NO IDEA how much hair was going down the drain. I almost didn't buy it because of the "as seen on tv" aspect. I've had bad luck before, but this was a whole new story. Completely worth the purchase!

We have only used the shroom so far, not the plug. This is the best version we have had and it really works to keep hair from clogging the drain. Stainless steel is much cleaner than the all rubber version.
